After the National Taipei Institute of Technology was renamed the National Taipei University of Technology, the original gear-shaped school logo was preserved and redesigned into a more modern, dynamic emblem. The evolving gear symbolizes continuous development and a bright future. The simple acronym “NTUT” is rendered in a clean, distinctive font.

Two half rings encircle the words “TAIPEI TECH.” The lower green half-ring is composed of stripes that symbolize a sustainable development. The upper blue half-ring represents the color of technology and signifies technological progress. Together, the two semicircles express the idea that technological advancement goes hand in hand with environmental preservation, and that the natural cycle endures continuously. Taipei Tech is a pioneer in technological and vocational education, founded in the same year as the Republic of China. For more than a century, the university has specialized in science and engineering education. Located in Taipei, Taipei Tech plays an indispensable role in the city’s technological development. Accordingly, the name “TAIPEI TECH” is adopted. |
